Newcastle Herald Food Critic agrees...!

Barry Meiklejohn, the 'Weekender' food critic recently visited Lexie's on the Beach to sample our fare and find out why we were finalists in the recent dining excellence awards.....  here's a sample of what he had to say;

"No resident or visitor to the Hunter Valley should miss a sunny, any season breakfast at the knockout Stockton Beach.  Lexie's on the Beach is the quintessential "off the beaten track" beach cafe.  If it was on T.V. the show would star Kerry Armstrong and Paul Mercurio .... Nothing, including the potential for flatulence stops me ordering homemade baked beans .. so that was my first call, along with Gusto coffee.  To my surprise the coffee was a two thirds full cup of black espresso, which is just how I like it. The breakfast and midmorning offerings at Lexie's are typical cafe food but are well done .... service is good too."
